Dont sell us shit, Tell us how to make IT>
Hey All You Winter Bikers,
Below is a link for studded bike tires by Nokian of Finland
you can make your own for about $2 by taking an old Mountain Bike tire and drilling short sheet metal screws from the inside at the thickest part of the treads so that the pointy tips of the screws poke out. Then line the inside of the tire with an old slick tire to cover the screw heads and protect the tube.
The homemade tires work pretty well, are a lot cheaper and take about an hour to make.
I have also found you really only need one studded tire for the front because a slipping front tire usually means your down but a back tire slip only causes a fish tale and is recoverable provided its in good condition and has an aggressive tread.
